Help me figure out where to go for Christmas/New Year's.

I'm currently in Cusco.

My friend is getting married in Tulum January 22, so I'll be heading that way at some point.

Should I stay in Peru or go to Mexico? What would you do?

I'm totally solo and not sure how I'll feel being alone on Christmas so if anyone is in either country/region, and wanting to hang out, that might help sway my decision.
