If it was rent free, I'd choose some place that is otherwise unaffordable... Hong Kong, NYC, Paris, London, Sydney, Tokyo...

Pretty funny that most people don’t pick Mexico, Thailand, or other DN destinations when money is not an issue. However, when questions are asked in this group by certain people about Europe or North America when money is actually not an issue in their lives, they get berated. Says a lot.
