I’m 42 and have never been married and if I’m honest with myself it’s because I never wanted to settle down so I chose people who were….amazing….but who I knew wouldn’t work out long long-term. I don’t nomad right now, but there are people who can fit your style, takes a while tho. My current BF likes a lot of connection but also freedom and we’re OK. But I allow room for the thing to fall apart. Trying to force something only ruins it. It’s possible that after a few years we’ll grow apart and that’s OK. I believe serial monogamy is a valid life path and I’m grateful for all my past connections even tho they didn’t lead to a picket fence or a ring. I’m supremely happy with my life and my freedom. I can’t say that about many of my married-with-kids friends.
