I can think of no place in the Schengen region that is worthy of 2 1/2 months.  I am very fond of Krakow, Poland, but two weeks is enough.  Generally, the EU is a place to visit, not to live.  I will grant that Marbella, Spain fits my criteria, save that it is, like most of the EU, just too damned expensive and regulatory.
