Hi everyone. I’m moving from Thailand to Portugal or Spain at the end of the year and not convinced on where to choose. Any pointers? Even narrowing it down to Portugal I wasn’t sure whether to choose Lisbon or Porto.

Portugal for sure!!!!! Good wine, friendly locals, fresh food, beautiful tile work all over, gorgeous coast lines. I love Portugal, it’s my number one choice. I’m selling everything and moving there so I’m biased 😆

Definitely Portugal... honestly people are nicer, polite, and helpful. you won't find much of that in Spain. Besides, it is cheaper.

I'm from Spain, and I would say it strongly depends on what you want or what lifestyle are you looking for.Portugal is a bit cheaper and, as a Spaniard myself, I'd say that Portuguese people is more kind than Spanish people. As my born city in Spain is just 45 minutes drive from Portugal I've traveled very often.Between Lisbon and Porto I prefer Porto hands down. Unless you're into surfing, aim for Porto. But as said, it depends on what you like... for beach go to Algarve, for young and university vibes go to Coimbra.Anyway, you can drive a car from any point in Portugal to Spain in less than three hours, so better choose a place and visit both, then decide.
