Oaxaca City Mexico is pretty great. Way cheaper than Tulum, Playa and Mexico City in all ways. Rent is cheap, food is cheap and delicious, good internet, 1.5 hour cheap flights to Mexico City airport. I’ve been flying back and forth to Mexico City for $30 ea way. I have been all over Mexico over the past 2 years.

Tough one, Europe and SE Asia have cheap ongoing flights, but Europe is expensive and SE Asia is same same but different. Countries like Mexico and South Africa have a lot to offer and are cheap to live, but cost a lot to fly elsewhere.

Yucatán, México. Yucatan is a peninsula and a state, in the peninsula there is Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. If you can afford any of this, awesome!If you want cheaper, the state of Yucatan is really cheap, beautiful, historic, with tons of cenotes and archeological sites, very safe… and you can take a 1-3 hour bus (depending on where you are) to the international airport of Cancun. That airport takes you in a direct / cheap-ish flight to many countries in the world.

Istanbul. Cheaper than anywhere in Europe and from the Istanbul airports, you can travel directly almost anywhere.
