Every single day, cruise ships worldwide emit the same particular matter as a million cars. A single large cruise ship will emit over five tonnes of NOX emissions, and 450kg of ultrafine particles a day. To give you an idea, it emits about the same amount of sulfur dioxide as 3,6 MILLION cars. Their heavy and growing use of fossil fuels means someone on a seven-day cruise produces the same amount of emissions as they would during 18 days on land. And they can damage fragile ocean ecosystems due to practices like irresponsible disposal of sewage.

Are you asking because you want to hang out only with young people, or because you want to avoid young people at all? 🤔🤣If you want to go, just do it. Everyone in this world could be an interesting person to meet and talk with - be 20yo or 80yo. In fact, I find many 80ers way more interesting in their conversations than many 20ers...

Never, I find it a nightmare of a holiday alternative. Very claustrophobic, I hate the scheduled bit as well where you just have to be one more of the retards walking around a town, also I don't do well around that many strangers with no alternative of bailing whenever I want to. Also, too, way too many shared spaces. Not for me thanks! I'll stick to flexible schedules, off the beaten path travel and my privacy!

To me a cruise sounds like a nightmare. Stuck on a giant floating mall with the same people for days on end. Sure you can do some excursions but they seem to stop only in super touristy places and you have only one day per stop.

I have been hitchhiking around the world for last 10 years passed more than 90 countries and did one cruise,I normally sail around. The cruise was horrible and expensive,nothing to do onboard if you dont want to spend time in casino or shopping in their Chinese full tiny little poshy boutiques. Stops were too short and for me it was very stressful to guard thr time of the floating giant to go (personally I saw it like a prison). Food wasnt good and as they rotate it from different floors it sometimes go bad and makes you sick. Younger people on ships are in couples or with kids,so not very friendly up to meeting someone. I would do another cruise just for bussiness reasons - it stops in many ports, flights between the islands are expensive,so its cheapest way to move around and do bussiness in very short time.I couldn't wait to get the fuck out of there
