Gonna go somewhere in Europe for 2 months in July/Aug.Can anyone recommend somewhere cool? Can be a major city or somewhere more hidden :)

Sicily! An incredibly diverse island, fabulous food and wine, loads to see/do, and then little groups of islands off the coast to visit too. Oh, and the weather is wonderful in July/August although you may want to head out of somewhere like Palermo in August - it can get a little uncomfortable.

Of course, I'm a bit idiosyncratic, but I'm in a small resort community just South of Durres, Albania for this summer.  It's for people who like sun, beach and nice, inexpensive restaurants and beach side cafes.
