I'm headed there in May! Don't have any answers for you though. I'm planning on staying in airbnbs and will likely keep my laptop locked up in my bag when I leave.

I'm on West Bank of Luxor now. I mostly just tether from my 4G. Got 57 gigs for about 14 euros. Here's a snapshot of the speed.
