I just came here to laugh at anyone who suggests the US.

Maybe I'm biased because I'm from the Philippines, but I also lived for more than a decade in the US and I have traveled extensively around the world. There's nothing like Filipino hospitality anywhere.I see Vietnam or Thailand in the answers and some countries in Europe. Not sure how well-traveled these people are, but I have been to MANY countries and mingled with the locals.Going back to Thailand and Vietnam. Now, I look Thai and Vietnamese and can pass for a local as long as I don't open my mouth. I stayed in these countries for 1 month each and while many people were friendly, someone spit on me in Thailand and a cab driver shouted at me and my friend because we were talking in Tagalog, and I was scammed 2x in Vietnam.Maybe as a white person traveling around Asia you get "special treatment" that's why the locals are "extra friendly" to you, but the true test of happiness, friendliness, and hospitality of the people is their attitude towards their own kind. And this is where traveling around Asia as an Asian will test it. Seriously, I've not been anywhere that trumps Filipino hospitality, generosity, happiness, and friendliness. If you have no money no home, stranded and desperate in PH as a foreigner, you will survive because the locals (rich and poor) will do their best to help you and not scam you.Also, we only have one price for everyone in the Philippines. If the key chain is $0.10 for locals, that's also $0.10 for foreigners. This is not my experience in other countries unless you go to developed countries. There is always the "tourist price".Also, so many foreign YouTubers (who have been all over the world) fell in-love with the Philippines because of the people and they now exclusively vlog about PH. People here are very happy in the midst of the pandemic. Even though they have zero to their name, they are still happy and smiling and willing to share and help others, both locals and foreigners. I'm really proud of my countrymen. ❤️Now, I lived in the US and I am an American citizen, too. Americans are too attached to money. Money is happiness in the US. This is why many people there are stressed. They lose their job and its doom and gloom, and the end of the world for them.
