Is it me, or I'm being more and more ashame of the Digital nomad selfish attitude as a community?I would not make that comment on a first time traveler group.  We are all confronted to that distorted view from our native environment that without knowing it, can be rude or cause culture shock in other country.  But as digital nomad, we should be seasoned travelers, and we should be conscious about our privileges and the impact we have on other communities. Being selfish, being unconscious is no longer an excuse in a group like here, or at least seasoned traveler should inform and educate the less experienced pals. Keep in mind that when you travel, you have a privilege that a huge majority of people don't have.  It's not even a matter of choice or priority, they just can't, without a choice.Consider wisely your decision to travel, especially during a global pandemic.  If you travel because you are sick of the restriction ... This is a very selfish and unacceptable reason, with heavy consequences for others. When you go live in a foreign country with a cheaper living cost, you bare responsibility to be respectful and to protect the vulnerable by not introducing something that could alter the balance of their lifestyle.  Remember that those people don't have infrastructure that we have.  If we introduce a virus in their community, you are introducing death to them. While you will simply be evacuated to a modern hospital or just go back home once you are scared, those people will be stuck with the consequences and live with death.  And the probability that it happens doesn't matter, it's one probability too much. Useful tools to assess risk:we usually do risk assessment with the following matrix. impact : rate 1 to 3, 3 being the most severe. probability: rate 1 to 3, with 3 being the most severe. value: rate one to 6, with 6 being the most return value. Traveling to a poor country: value for you: 4value for other: 1 (average 2) impact: 3probability 1you have a ratio of 4 risk for a value of 2.   This is just an example, but try to use this matrix when you evaluate risk and you need to eliminate emotion and try to be objective.  Please to finish, be mindful to other, don't just think about yourself and your personal comfort. Your comfort is not worth the trouble you can cause in other people life. So try to keep your negative impact to the minimal.

Surely you have researched which countries are closed before posting this???? Bali is closed and if you didn't know that you don't deserve to go anyway. Families there are starving to death and it irks me that you aren't aware of this.

Just booked tickets to Costa Rica. No test, no quarantine, just go and live the good life. Bali is not an option anymore. They don’t issue any visas anymore until further notice. Thailand indeed 14 days quarantaine on your own expenses
